A few facts about the red tailed hawk. The red tailed hawk is a carnivore. Any small animal that moves gets killed whether mammal, reptile, bird or large insect. Their nest is a bulky platform made of sticks and leaves. They live in North and Central America and the Caribbean. A female is larger than the male.
